A Torino, dal 25 al 29 luglio, si svolgerà il Climate Social Camp, organizzato dal movimento Fridays For Future. Si tratta di un’occasione imperdibile per mettere al centro del dibattito pubblico i temi della sostenibilità, in una città che sta patendo tutti gli effetti del Climate Change. 

Il Museo Diffuso della Resistenza, della Deportazione, della Guerra dei Diritti e della Libertà ha prestato molta attenzione alle rivendicazioni del movimento, sin dalla sua nascita, organizzando nel 2019 una tre giorni dal titolo Mondi (In)Sostenibili, dando voce ai giovani attivisti in momenti di riflessione che li vedevano confrontarsi con esperti di varie discipline e realizzando una temporary exhibition sulle loro campagne di comunicazione co-curata dagli esponenti torinesi del movimento. 

Come Presidente del Museo invito i ragazzi e le ragazze presenti al Climate Social Camp a visitare il Museo e ad approfondire la figura di Aurelio Peccei, visionaria figura di ex partigiano torinese che fu tra i fondatori del Club Di Roma. Peccei fu tra i primi a comprendere l’impatto del cambiamento climatico sui diritti e le libertà delle generazioni future e fu la dimostrazione che le ragioni della libertà, dei diritti e dell’uguaglianza non possono trascendere dalla giustizia ambientale oltre che sociale. 

Buon lavoro, il Museo è anche casa vostra e le sue porte sono aperte.

Those who do not respect existence should expect resistance

The Climate Social Camp, organized by the Fridays For Future movement, will take place in Torino from 25 to 29 July. This is an unmissable opportunity to put sustainability issue at the center of the public debate, in a city that is suffering all the effects of Climate Change.

The Widespread Museum of Resistance, Deportation, War of Rights and Freedom has paid a lot of attention to the claims of the movement, since its inception, for example, by organizing in 2019, a three-day event entitled Mondi (In) Sostenibili. the aim of this event was to give a voice to these young activists by creating some moments of reflection and confronting with experts coming from various disciplines and creating a temporary exhibition on their communication campaigns co-curated by the Torino exponents of the movement.

As President of the Museum, I invite the boys and girls present at the Climate Social Camp to visit our Museum and to deepen the case of Aurelio Peccei, a visionary figure of this former Torino partisan who was one of the founders of the Club di Roma. Peccei was among the first to understand the impact of climate change on the rights and freedom of future generations and was the demonstration that the reasons for freedom, rights and equality cannot transcend environmental justice as well as social justice.
